The Consumer Blacklist: 5 Red Flags To Force Every Brand To Prove Before You Give Them A Single Cent.

Read this page carefully right now. Four of these five critical traps can be spotted from a mile away without spending a single dollar, and any formula that fails even one of them is an immediate threat to your wallet, your timeline and your health.

Clinically endorsed & written by Dr. Robert Vance, MD

One thing before the list, because it matters more than anything below it. Coming off a cholesterol medication is a conversation to have with your doctor, not a decision to leave sitting. There are other statins, other dose schedules and other drug classes entirely, and most people who cannot tolerate one can tolerate another. Nothing on this page replaces that appointment. What this page does is stop you making things worse in the meantime.

Every week I have the same conversation in my office. Someone comes off their prescription, goes looking for something natural, and arrives back three months later with a half-empty bottle they bought online and a lipid panel that has not moved an inch. Occasionally it has moved the wrong way.

So I finally did what I should have done years ago. I collected the formulas my own patients were actually buying, and I put them through the same criteria I would apply to anything I hand out on a prescription pad. Most of them failed on the very first check. Not on efficacy. On safety.

What follows is that list. It is not a ranking and it is not a top ten. It is five questions, and a formula either answers all five or it does not belong in your body.

THE 5 RED FLAGS
1

Have they tested for yeast and mould, or just told you it is clean?

Here is the part that is not obvious. Citrinin is not an ingredient anybody adds. It is a mycotoxin, which means it is produced by mould, and it comes from the exact same fermentation that creates the active compound in red yeast rice. That is why every batch starts out capable of carrying it, and why the words on the front of a bottle are worth nothing on their own.

So this is what you ask for, and it is far more useful than the phrase most people repeat. Ask for the microbiological panel. A proper one reports a yeast and mould count in colony-forming units per millilitre, alongside E. coli and a total aerobic count, and it is run per batch by an accredited laboratory. If the mould count comes back below the limit of quantification, the organism that produces the toxin was not there to produce it. A company that runs this testing has the document sitting on file. A company that does not will send you a paragraph about their commitment to quality.

2

Is it a capsule, or does it get past the gastric trap?

This is the delivery flaw almost every brand ignores. A capsule has to survive brute-force processing through your stomach before a single molecule reaches your bloodstream, and a large share of what you paid for is broken down on the way. A micro-liquid does not fight that battle. It absorbs through tissue in the upper tract within seconds, which is why the same compound can do more work at a lower dose.

So why does no pharmaceutical company sell a liquid version? Economics, not science. A powdered pill costs fractions of a cent to press, sits on a warehouse shelf for years without degrading, and ships dry and light by the pallet. An active lipid liquid needs cold processing, stability control and careful handling, and it carries a real expiry date. Those are costs a corporate margin will not carry.

And that is not only a delivery question, it is a quality one. When a capsule costs a fraction of a cent to produce, there is no incentive anywhere in the process to spend money on what goes inside it. Cheap to press means cheap to fill. It means raw milled powder rather than a standardised extract, bulking agents and flow agents making up volume, and whichever grade of raw material came in cheapest that quarter. A format that is expensive to make forces a company to care about the ingredient, because they cannot afford to waste the process on a bad one.

3

Was it fermented properly, or just fermented?

This is the one that decides whether red yeast rice helps you or hurts you.

Red yeast rice contains monacolin K. So does lovastatin. Same active compound. Most people stop reading right there and assume they're being sold a statin in a nicer bottle, so here's the comparison that actually explains it.

Coffee contains caffeine. That doesn't make a cup of coffee a caffeine pill. The pill and the vape hit harder because the caffeine goes straight in on its own. Coffee brings the identical molecule through a food matrix, alongside everything else in the bean. Same compound, two completely different experiences, and every one of us already knows that from the inside.

Monacolin K behaves the same way. Through a food matrix it arrives gently. Isolated into a tablet, it doesn't. That's the difference between red yeast rice and your prescription, and it's why one is tolerated by people the other one drove away.

But it only holds if the fermentation was controlled, and this is where badly made red yeast rice gets genuinely dangerous. A manufacturer with subpar standards doesn't control or verify what their fermentation produces. Levels swing from batch to batch and nobody's counting. Too little and you bought coloured rice powder. Too much and you've handed yourself something behaving like a drug dose with nobody watching, which is exactly how people end up back in the pain they were trying to leave.

So the question was never whether a formula contains red yeast rice. It's whether the people who made it controlled the process that produced it.

4

Did it actually clear customs, or did it arrive in a padded envelope?

This is the one almost nobody thinks about, and it decides everything else on this list.

When a company imports a supplement into the United States in commercial quantity, that shipment is declared, filed with the FDA before it lands, and screened at the border. It carries a compliant Supplement Facts panel, an ingredient list, and the name and address of a real business that can be found and held responsible. It can be refused entry. That is not a rubber stamp, but it is a system with a door on it, and somebody has to answer at that door.

Now think about the bottle that took three weeks to reach you. That did not travel in a container. It travelled as a single low-value parcel, one of millions, and parcels like that are inspected at a rate that rounds down to nothing. Worse, the customs paperwork on those shipments frequently describes the contents as something else entirely, because a package declared as a cosmetic or a food item moves through with less friction than one declared as a supplement. Nobody checked the label because nobody was ever shown the label.

So the doses on the front were never verified by anyone. Neither was the ingredient list. And this is precisely why those brands never publish laboratory testing: there is nothing to publish. The testing was never done, because at no point in that supply chain was anybody required to do it. A three week delivery window is not slow shipping. It is a shipping route chosen to avoid the part where somebody checks.

5

Is it doing one job or three?

Cholesterol arrives in your bloodstream by more than one route, so a single-ingredient capsule is always fighting on one front while the others stay open. Absorption in the gut, clearance by the liver and protection of the arterial wall itself are three separate mechanisms with three separate levers. A formula worth paying for pulls more than one, and can tell you which ingredient is assigned to which. If a brand cannot explain what each component is there to do, they did not design a formula. They assembled one.

Five red flags. One formula that raised none of them.

I ran this list against everything I could get my hands on. Most were caught by flag one, and the survivors were caught by flag four when I asked for batch paperwork and got silence. One did not. That is why I put my name on Healthy Blood by Reclaime Health, and below is the evidence for each flag rather than my word for it.

Flags 1 and 4, evidenced. The microbiological panel on the left is the one that answers flag one. Citrinin is a mould toxin, so a mould count below the limit of quantification means the organism that produces it was not there to produce it. The heavy metals panel and the full Certificate of Analysis are on file for the same batch. Tap any of them to read full size. This is paperwork a bottle that arrived in a padded envelope can never show you, because the testing was never run.
Liquid drops compared with capsules and pills on absorption
Flag 2, evidenced. The absorption gap between a liquid and a pressed pill, which is the entire reason the format costs more to make.
Citrus bergamot, red yeast rice, soursop, olive, garlic and black peppercorn
Flags 3 and 5, evidenced. Citrus bergamot, red yeast rice, soursop, olive, garlic and black pepper. Named individually, dosed individually, and each one assigned to absorption, clearance or arterial protection rather than disappearing into a blend.

The questions everybody asks first

Is red yeast rice just a statin?

Well, red yeast rice contains monacolin K. Which is also the active compound inside of Lovastatin.

So because coffee contains caffeine, does that also make it a caffeine pill? Or a caffeine vape?

No. Those hit heavier because they provide the body with a synthetic blast of caffeine. Rather than being delivered gently through a food matrix.

Monacolin K from red yeast rice works in the same fashion. Delivered naturally through a food matrix rather than a synthetic blast straight to your body.

It's tolerated much better when fermented properly.

Will it cause the same muscle pain a statin did?

For the vast majority of patients, no, because the delivery velocity is entirely different.

Statin-induced myopathy is typically triggered by a sudden spike of isolated compounds flooding the bloodstream at once. Because the monacolin K in this formula is delivered via its natural matrix, your body metabolizes it smoothly, without that aggressive pharmaceutical spike.

With that said, safety depends entirely on controlled fermentation. Where a manufacturer does not control its process per batch, dosing becomes unpredictable and muscle discomfort can return. That is exactly why rigorous batch testing is non-negotiable here.

Ultimately, you know your own physiology better than I do. If you experience unusual symptoms, suspend use immediately and consult your physician.

I already tried red yeast rice and it did nothing. Why would this be different?

Because you most likely bought an unverified formula with negligible active content.

I review patient charts every week where someone tells me a natural alternative failed them. When we dig into it, they were taking an unregulated retail supplement.

Uncontrolled fermentation is completely volatile. Without strict standardization, active compound levels swing wildly from one production run to the next. One batch might carry a trace of the active compound. The next bottle is expensive colored rice powder and nothing else.

Where do your ingredients come from?

Raw materials are sourced globally from certified growers. The multi-tiered verification that follows is what separates this from the shelf.

Before allowing my medical credentials anywhere near a label, I demanded a testing protocol with no industry shortcuts in it.

Step 1. Arrival quarantine. Every raw shipment is sealed, temperature-checked and quarantined on arrival at the facility.

Step 2. Molecular fingerprinting. Samples are run through a mass spectrometer to verify the exact chemical structure of the material. A supplier's paperwork is not trusted. The molecular reality is verified independently.

Step 3. Microbiological screening. The material undergoes a seven-day incubation test screening for fungal molds, the organism that produces citrinin, and pathogens including E. coli. A batch that fails is permanently rejected and destroyed.

Step 4. Third-party validation. Once bottled, finished product samples go to Eurofins, an independent international laboratory, for final unbiased verification.

Step 5. Regulatory clearing. The finished product complies fully with FDA import regulations and undergoes customs verification before dispatch from the fulfillment facility in Pennsylvania.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this just a cheaper statin?

No. Prescription statins are strong medications designed to actively lower cholesterol. For high-risk individuals, they are highly effective and necessary.

Our supplement is different. It provides monacolin K gently through a natural food base rather than a concentrated chemical dose.

Important note: if your doctor prescribed a statin, please stay on it. This product is intended for individuals who chose to stop statins due to muscle aches, or those whose cholesterol levels are not yet high enough to require a prescription.

How does it actually help?

It supports your liver's natural ability to clear out cholesterol. Your liver relies on specific receptors to pull LDL, the bad cholesterol, from your blood. When these receptors slow down, your numbers rise.

Our formula supports these receptors instead of overriding them. Because it works naturally, you won't feel a sudden physical change. The proof will show up on your next blood test.

We combined citrus bergamot, red yeast rice and soursop to support three different clearance pathways at once.

Can I take this with my statin?

Yes, but you must consult your doctor first.

Because this supplement and prescription statins work on the exact same pathway in your body, taking both together can double your active dose. This can increase your risk of side effects like muscle pain or liver strain.

Please bring this ingredient list to your next appointment so your doctor can safely coordinate your care.

Do I have to take it forever, and what happens if I stop?

No. Your body benefits from the support only while you are actively taking it. If you stop, your cholesterol numbers will gradually drift back to their baseline levels within a few weeks.

There are no withdrawal symptoms, and your numbers will not suddenly spike. This is true for both supplements and prescription medications, as no pill permanently changes your genetics.

Most people use the product for 90 days and then get a blood test to review their progress with real data.

How long before my numbers move?

It takes eight to twelve weeks to see a measurable change on a blood test.

Cholesterol levels change gradually. Any product promising to lower your numbers in two weeks is unrealistic. You might notice steadier energy levels earlier on, but the true evidence will be on your lab report.

Do I still have to change my diet?

Yes. A supplement cannot replace healthy lifestyle choices. Proper nutrition and exercise are the foundations of cardiovascular health.

This formula is designed to accelerate the results of your hard work, not to act as a pass to eat poorly.

When and how much do I take, and what does it taste like?

Dosage: take one full dropper every morning. Daily consistency is key to getting results.

How to take: place it directly under your tongue, or mix it into a glass of water or juice.

Taste: it has a very mild, pleasant taste with a hint of citrus from the bergamot. It does not have a bitter or medicinal flavor.

Where does it ship from, and how fast?

Origin: all orders ship directly from our warehouse in Pennsylvania.

Processing: we process and pack your order within two to three business days.

Delivery: once shipped, standard delivery takes just a few days. You will not experience long international delays or unverified overseas shipping.

How exactly does the money-back guarantee work?

You have 30 days from the day the package arrives at your door to try it. If you are not satisfied, you can return the bottle for a full refund, even if it is completely empty. There are no complicated forms or catch questions.

Please note: 30 days is not long enough to see a change in your cholesterol blood tests. This guarantee is simply here so you can check the taste and quality of the product completely risk-free.
